I admit that I have not seen all of Leo DiCaprio's movies. However, I am a massive fan because of what I have seen. So, I've decided to compile 2 small (opinion based, obviously) lists, to see what you (yeah, you, good lookin', right in front) think of my choices, and if you would make any changes. In future, I hope to see more of his earlier films and the newer ones to make a more solid/definitive list.
Best DiCaprio Movies:
1) The Departed - My all-time favourite movie. Just so, so great. I love it. In a platonic(?!!?) manner.
2)Blood Diamond - Another of my all-time favourites. Despite what some snobby buggers say, I say that the accent was pretty damn well done.
3)Catch Me If You Can - Haven't seen this one for a little while, but it was really enjoyable. Turns out comedy is a possible direction for the lad!
4)The Basketball Diaries - I've only seen this today, but it's a strong film. The cure to turn against drugs before getting lost in them.
5)The Aviator - A biopic about Howard Hughes. An interesting look at the irregular life of the man.
Best DiCaprio Acts:
1) Billy Costigan - The Departed. Just... wow.
2) Howard Hughes - The Aviator. Fantastic portrayal. He got down to the details in depth and even his birthday suit for this one.
3) Jim Carroll - The Basketball Diaries. Based on the true story of Jim Carroll and his battle with drug addiction.
I'm going to leave those lists at that. I know that my little additions to the story or acting, are minimal, but that's because I don't particularly want to bore you lot to death, or show just what little knowledge of the technical aspects I possess.
I'd also like to do a similar list in future in relation to the incredible Edward Norton, another actor I am a massive fan of. I just need to get through a few more of his movies, then we'll be sorted.
If you can't make your mind up on these choices, feel free to enjoy the movies again (or for the first time!)
