Crying Shame

A thousand deaths I wish I’d died
Only to see you smile
And take back those tales I lied.

The words I spoke were calm and untrue
Wanting to impress you.
All they ever managed was to damage
Break our hearts through and through

I’m so much colder alone
Than when we were together.
I know what we had sewn
Has been cut from its last tether.

It is time that I let you go
You are not coming back
That is a cold-heart fact I know

Too long has come and gone since my wrong
Too long to say sorry.
Words have lost their meaning in any case
All I have left is worry.

It’s better we are apart
Than together with my lies.
I can make my new start
Get past my tears shed in cries

I left a piece of me with you
One you don’t even want
It is my heart, and it's turning blue
