It's already been one half of a semester for me. Just one more half to go and I'm on a longish break (3/4 weeks, I think.) Woo!
Already I can sense that I have been doing work. Or something that looks suspiciously like it during this semester. So, I'm avenging all those minutes wasted on work by using minutes most wisely here.
Quote of The Post: "Oh darling, I love you, but this just might
be a feeling that just comes and goes. Don't say I didn't tell you so."
If you didn't know before, you certainly should now. No excuses for you, nor anyone else. I've heard that all love is fleeting, so catch a glimpse of it while you can, because either way, it'll slip out of your hands. (Unless you get lucky and end up one of those really happy old couples. I hope you get lucky. Heh.)
Movie of The Post: Sucker Punch
Not as gratuitous as I'd hoped, mwahahahaha.
Delivers on action! Over the top-ness! Slight clothes! Slow-mo! Dragons! Swords! An old fella! So really this is a winner. Sure, not the best movie ever, and certainly not a movie that will have you shed a tear because of the fully realised plot and character development, but it is a fun ride. Even if the critics don't like fun.
Song of The Post: (Woman) - Shawn Phillips
This is another slower song. It starts off quietly, so don't turn it up too high just because you're struggling to hear it, because you will be able to hear it clearly enough (or, turn it up, then back down to a normal volume at around 45 seconds in.) This song is also known as "She Was Waitin' For Her Mother At The Station In Torino And You Know I Love You Baby But It's Getting Too Heavy To Laugh". Bit of a mouthful, really. But it asserts its ideas quite succinctly: "It's hard to fall out of love completely. It's harder to find a way to come back discreetly."
